Daniel Dougherty
Daniel Dougherty – Founder & President, Life on the Rocks
Daniel Dougherty is the Founder of Life on the Rocks Brooklyn. He has had over a decade of experience working with major music festivals, landmark venues, national brand activations, and elite hospitality groups.
Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Daniel’s career began at the intersection of bourbon, music, and large-format entertainment. Daniel started bartending with local venues before working with the world renowned Churchill Downs and Jim Beam. Daniel then started to travel nationally managing festival bar operations for Southern Hospitality Concessions and Danny Wimmer Presents. These festivals include Bourbon & Beyond, Louder Than Life, Aftershock and more.
After moving to New York, Daniel quickly became a leader in hospitality. First at Tao Group Hospitality and then as Beverage Director at Great Performance Hospitality. Working at Great Performances, Daniel oversaw operations at SummerStage in Central Park, NYC Wine & Food Festival, We Belong Here Festival, plus multiple historic and major citywide venues across New York.
Daniel designed Life on the Rocks Brooklyn as the natural evolution of his experiences: a combination of festival tested execution with his vision of a premium product. From immersive festival environments to private VIP activations, Daniel and his team deliver bars that move with the music and rock with the scale of the crowd.
Based in New York City, Daniel continues to shape the future of mobile beverage concessions across the East Coast by leading Life on the Rocks Brooklyn and simultaneously serving as Beverage Director for Smorgasburg New York. 43ee
